Probably overdue, but let's try some Reg Free COM!

The benefits of Reg Free Com are pretty overwhelming for deployment of ActiveVFP, especially for hosting vfp web apps at 3rd party hosting providers like Godaddy.  Everything I've read says it's pretty easy so I'll be playing with this over the weekend.  If all goes well, I'll be able to provide a URL that goes to my cheapie GoDaddy hosting account and runs the demo!!

At this point, it looks like it's worse than DLL hell!  I can't find any workable examples and many of the links say it's not possible.  And, of course, Microsoft would rather you not have this easy an alternative.  I would have loved to have added this to the list of "things they said vfp couldn't do- proven wrong" but right now it doesn't look promising.  Here are a couple of links (although I researched a lot more):

If I could somehow just get the activevfp.dll registered without command line access, that would be just as good I think..

AVFPRegFree1.1 works at GoDaddy.com if you specify Asp.Net 1.1 in the configuration panel. Here's the link for the test I created:

So, for the cost of a domain ($2-$10/yr !!) you can host vfp web apps!!!

Probably would work for VFP Web Services too.
