I'm not sure if this is a problem for all GoDaddy 4GH servers
so anyone with experiences please chime in. However, a recent GoDaddy 4GH site
was experiencing long startup times periodically. Here's the info:

http://www.profittrak.info/lease was being hosted on a GoDaddy 4GH shared server GoDaddy has stated the problem may be that ASP.NET 1.1 is being used. We need to use 1.1 at GoDaddy because it provides Full-Trust which is needed by ActiveVFP. This is definitely GoDaddy's problem and they should fix it. A "cold" start of up to 15 secs is what it is under normal circumstances. A startup of minutes is unacceptable. The following site is also hosted on GoDaddy (not 4GH, just regular Windows hosting) and there are NEVER any problems: http://thetechconsult.com/demo/default.aspx So your options are the following: 1.) get GoDaddy to fix existing 4GH host(not much luck so far) 2.) get GoDaddy to move site from 4GH to regular Windows hosting (still just $5/month) 3.) go to another cheap host that allows Full-Trust with ASP.NET 2.0. Here are some that I've found for the same $5/mo:
WinHost http://www.winhost.com/
Arvixe http://www.arvixe.com/asp_net_web_hosting
DiscountAsp.net https://www.discountasp.net/signup/special/5dollar/

GoDaddy has advised to use their regular Windows hosting instead of 4GH.

Find regular Windows hosting here:  http://www.godaddy.com/Hosting/hosting.aspx
