Hey Claude,

Working on my survey form using AVFP right now.

After I've done a submit of data, I understand it moves to the verify.htm stage.

Now in the prior page, I created some session variables and I have the post.

It looks to me like you are update those session values (not sure why) as per this example code.

<%

* Update Session values from form

oSession.VALUE("company",oRequest.FORM("company"))

oSession.VALUE("contact",oRequest.FORM("contact"))

oSession.VALUE("title",oRequest.FORM("title"))

oSession.VALUE("address",oRequest.FORM("address"))

oSession.VALUE("city",oRequest.FORM("city")

OK, so the next step I want to do is append blank to the posting table.

Do I simply do something like:

<%

use table1 in 0
select table1
append blank

replace company with  oSession.VALUE("company",oRequest.FORM("company"))

Thanks,

No, it should be:

replace company with  oSession.VALUE("company")

since oSession.VALUE will already have the value you gave it.  The second parameter to oSession.VALUE is only for when you want to add a new value to it.

Thanks, Claude.  Moved a new issue to a new thread.

I'm trying to understand what is on the server side and where this code is.

"I'm trying to understand what is on the server side and where this code is. "

Did you get the demos to work?

You said you changed some of the code on the server side and it worked?

Did you find the VFP Controller prg?????

You seem to be asking a lot of questions in a scatter shot fashion and that' s not really a good way to make progress or friends around here...

You need to do some work, you need to find the examples and code, NOBODY IS GOING TO HOLD YOUR HAND HERE.

I don't want anybody to hold my hand.

Hi Claude,

I think you sent this message to the wrong person.

I did not post anything on codeplex recently.

I wouldn't have mentioned if you hadn't explicitly asked in the e-mail you sent me:
User abigdreamer has contacted you through CodePlex using the Contact User form. Replying to this email will reply directly to the user. If you do not wish to allow >>being contacted, you may indicate so on your profile page.

The following is the message from abigdreamer:
"I need somebody to hold my hand as I navigate the ActiveVFP
waters.

I am lost and can't figure out where to start.

Ugh
