1.) Download IIS Express 7.5 and install
2.) Download AVFP 6.03 or AVFP5.53 zip file and unzip
3.) Windows XP only: regsvr32 activevfp.dll (manual registration is only required on XP)
4.) For virtual directory, go to \My Documents\IISExpress\config\ and edit applicationhost.config like this:
<sites>
            <site name="WebSite1" id="1" serverAutoStart="true">
                <application path="/">
                    <virtualDirectory path="/" physicalPath="C:\avfp5.53Demo" />
                </application>
                <bindings>
                    <binding protocol="http" bindingInformation=":8080:localhost" />
                </bindings>
            </site>
In this case, I made it the root ("/") but you could make it /avfpdemo or anything you want.
5.) Start the IIS Express Web Server
6.) From a browser, go to http://localhost:8080 (if configured as above)

Hi,

I am on Windows XP using IIS Express 7.5.
I can get the default page to come up but then when I click on any links the page is called
without localhost:8080\ and so it crashes.

Has this worked for anyone?

Thanks

Just substitute your local host variable into those links in the avfp template.

(the demo on the full version of IIS uses IIS variables to fill in these things but those same variables aren't available in IIS Express (or aren't retrieved the same way))
