is this the correct way to pass a variable from a htm ot html form

 action="<%=oProp.ScriptPath+[?action=bptaRev+lcMembId=theemail]%>

I want to pass the email variable but the link will not click.

 I'm using expressions web 2 for development. the code was however developed using frontpage and used to work.

action="<%= oProp.ScriptPath+[?action=]+bptaRev+[lcMembId=]+theemail %>"

is what I would do.  You can also refer to the data input form in the demo.

Which means the code is not quite right and you need to fix.  Here are some examples from the demos - yes, I know they work - just compare them to your code to make sure you have everything:

<form method="POST" name="theForm" action="<%= oProp.ScriptPath+[?action=email2]%>">

<FORM action="<%= oProp.ScriptPath+[?action=]+oProp.Action+[&sid=]+oProp.SessID %>" method='POST'>

**make sure you have a </FORM> at the end of the form
