Well, we're assuming you're always on a windows server ?? 

Looks like you need to set your virtual directory  as an application or something like that.  Review the notes and the discussions.

It's hard to help just given an error message and no context as to what you're doing.  Is this at a Web host like GoDaddy?

ok. i've created a folder called bpta into which I've loaded the afvp5 for dotnet 2 into.

I;ve made the folder into an application.

when I try this http://www.softebiz.biz/bpta/default.aspx

I get the following error.

any suggestions (The message mentions trust level. where do I set this)

Did you specify ASP.NET 1.1 in the configuration panel at GoDaddy??
