Hi everyone,
I've been developing a site to test-drive Activevfp, and i came across a compiler error after uploading to my webhosting provider:
The site is uploaded to: http://prosofti.com.ar/bootstrap1/
Compiler Error Message: CS0246: The type or namespace name 'activevfp_dotnetproxy' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

Source Error:
Line 1: <% @Page Language="C#" ASPCompat="true" %>
Line 3: <% @Import Namespace="activevfp_dotnetproxy" %>
Line 4: <link rel="stylesheet" href="../css/bootstrap.min.css"
Line 5: <%
Thank you for bringing the fox to the web !!

Is activevfp_dotnetproxy.dll in the \bin directory? Does the included avfp Demo app work on that server? Your new app should have the same directory structure as the Demo app, at least to get started.

The web hosting provider (or their web site) should be able to tell you whether or not they are Full-Trust or Medium-Trust. Most ASP.NET centered web hosts will tell you if they're Full-Trust because it's a selling point in their favor nowadays.

Hi Claude,
Tested the sample application, same error.
All dlls in place (path: http://prosofti.com.ar/activevfp552/)
  • /activevfp.dll, /activevfp.dll.manifest on application's root directory
  • /bin/activevfp_dotnetproxy.dll
  • /bin/aspmanifesthelpers.dll
Maybe my hosting provider is not fulltrust, i'll ask them and see if i get any answers. Thanks!
